Arrangement: Chronological per sub-series.
Incoming correspondence of former Governor W. A. Richards. Topics include personal business interests in Big Horn County, family life, republican politics, problems in filing for land patents, public land surveys, opening of Indian Territory in Oklahoma and Texas for settlement, requests for maps and information about Wyoming, requests for assistance in procuring government jobs. Much of the correspondence is concerned with activities in Wyoming, particularly in Big Horn County. The series also contains several letters from Senator Francis E. Warren in regard to public land policy and the Warren Livestock Company.
