Scope and Contents

Excerpts and printed copies of federal bills and hearings on bills concerning the Colorado River Basin and the following topics: Water utilization; the compact; development of the lower basin; Mexico treaty; Colorado River Development Fund; "Hayden Program"; and projects, including Bonneville, Boulder Canyon, Gila, and Flaming Gorge.

Included in this series are speeches by Wyoming's Charles Winter in the House of Representatives on Public Lands (1926) and the Boulder Dam (1928); Lawrence Phipps in the Senate on the Boulder Canyon Project (1927); and John B. Kendrick in the Senate on the Irving Johnson Bill (1927).
