Scope and Contents

The Missouri River States Committee was organized to coordinate interests in the Missouri Valley. These interests included flood control, reclamation, power, navigation conservation and irrigation. See minutes for Dec. 15-16, 1941; July 29, 1942; and May 21, 1943 for origins of committee.

The series includes committee minutes; correspondence among committee members, with state and federal officials, and with members of other agencies; hearings and copies of legislation; membership and mailing lists (1941); and newspaper clippings.
