Patricia Joan Seabeck McGinty

Patricia Joan Seabeck McGinty died peacefully on October 27, 2011 at her home in Naples, Florida after a brief illness. Mrs. McGinty was married to Denton Eugene McGinty, who preceeded her in 2009.

Patricia McGinty was born September 12, 1930 in Ashton, Nebraska to Isabel and Edwin Seabeck. Patricia was the eldest of 5 children, Marilyn (deceased), Tom, Ray and Bob. Raised and educated in Casper, Wyoming, Pat attended both Casper High School and Casper College. Upon completion of her education, Patricia took a job with The General Petroleum Company in Wyoming. In 1951, Pat elected to compete in the Miss Casper Beauty pageant, and upon successfully becoming Miss Casper, Pat went on to become Miss Wyoming. As Miss Wyoming, Pat had the honor of representing her state in the Miss America pageant in Atlantic City. While exicuting the duties of Miss Wyoming, Pat met, and subsequently married Denton E. McGinty in 1952, and moved to Billings, Montana. There, Pat became a homemaker while her husband Gene worked as an attorney and land man for Shell Oil Company. Patricia and Gene were blessed to have three children. Michael Denton (Rene), Theresa Ann (Barton II), Timothy Edwin (deceased). While living in Newport Beach, California, and later Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Pat was a stay at home mother, regular volunteer, classroom judge, and full time cheerleader for her children's sports. After her husband Gene retired, Pat and her husband enjoyed travel, and subsequently moved to Naples, Florida. In later years, her grandchildren, Laura I.U. Collier, and Barron Collier V, were the joys of her life. Pat felt blessed by a beautiful and fulfilled life with a devoted husband, family, and many close friends.

Pat is survived by her three brothers, Ray, Tom, and Bob, her two children, her two grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 12 PM, Saturday, November 5, at St. William Catholic Church in Pelican Bay, Naples. Ashes are to interred at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Memorial Garden in Naples, immediately after the service at St. William.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to St. William Church in Naples.
